When you click a link on a review site like this one, you're taken to the manufacturer's sales page, and the actual purchase is processed by whichever platform the manufacturer uses - that's why the checkout domain often differs from the sales page domain, and why your card statement may show the platform's name rather than the product's.

Affiliate platforms are used by many digital and physical product sellers. The role each platform plays in payment processing, customer support, and refunds can vary by offer. Check the checkout page and order confirmation to identify the responsible seller and support contact.

How to verify a checkout page is legitimate

• The URL should belong to the seller or a recognizable payment processor - not an unrelated or misspelled domain
• The page should show a clear order summary (product, quantity, price) before asking for payment details
• Legitimate checkouts accept major cards and clearly state their refund policy on the same page
• Your bank or card statement will typically show the payment processor's or seller's name as the merchant, not the product name - this is normal, not a red flag

What to do if you need a refund

Contact the platform directly using the order lookup tool on their site with your order number or the email used at checkout. Refund windows and terms are set by the manufacturer, but the platform processes the actual refund once approved.
